After
winning the Tests series Australia will start the second leg of the historic
tour tomorrow by starting the 1st match of the three matches ODI
series. The first ODI of the series will be played at the venue of the third
result-oriented test, Ghaddafi Stadium Lahore. The whole series and only T20
will be played in Lahore at Gaddafi stadium. Lahore will host the all-White
ball cricket matches of this historic tour from 29th March to 5th
April. The last bilateral ODI series was played between both teams in UAE where
the Aussies got a 5-0 victory over Pakistan.
Australia
is without Big players in the ODI series:
Big
names of white-ball cricket for Australia and part of the test team which won historic
test series after 24 years will not be with Aeron finch led ODI team.
David Warner, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazelwood,
Glenn Maxwell, Steven Smith, and Kane Richardson will not be part of Australia's
white-ball squads. Steven Smith and Kane Richardson were set to play in the
series but had to pull out due to injuries while Glenn Maxwell is taking some
time off after his marriage.
HEAD
TO HEAD:
Australia and Pakistan have encountered 104 times in ODIs. In
104 contests Australia won 68 and Pakistan 32 matches. One match was tied and three
matches ended in no result. In Pakistan, both have clashed in 11 matches, with
the hosts winning six and visitors winning four matches. The team Australia and
the Men in Green last met in an ODI in the World Cup 2019 which Australia won
by a margin of 41 runs.
