The FIFA
World Cup 2022 is going to be held in Qatar. A total of 32 nations will participate
in this competition, which starts next November. Over 200 countries from across

Five-time champions Brazil were the first team from South America to qualify for the event, while Germany was the first European nation to confirm their spot in Qatar. Brazil, who last won the FIFA World Cup in 2002, advanced through the CONMEBOL’s qualification tournament, which includes nine other teams. The Selecao have featured in every World Cup to date. Argentina, who won the Copa America Cup last year, have also made it through.
However, Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal was beaten by Serbia in the final group match and missed the direct spot in FIFA World Cup in the coming November. But Portugal still has the chance to take its place in the World Cup after defeating North Macedonia in the final of the qualifiers round.
Unfortunately, Four-time champions Italy, though, failed to qualify after losing to North
Macedonia in their playoff semi-finals.
Overall 13 teams from Europe will qualify for the FIFA World Cup 2022. From Europe, Denmark, France, Belgium, Croatia, England, Spain, Serbia, and Switzerland will be joining Germany at the World Cup after topping their respective groups in the first round of qualifiers.
