Australia is at top of the points table of the ICC world test championship. Pakistan at number two and India at number four. The position of India at the point table makes it very difficult for India to play the final of the ICC World test championship. The finalist of last world test championship India at number four and New Zealand at six. The worry for India is that they had played four series and Pakistan playing its second. Pakistan’s win percentage is 66 and India’s is 58. Let’s have at the looking test series and chances to play final of different teams.  

 Australia is looking good because its three home series are reaming before the final against England, South Africa, and West Indies. So this is a big edge for Aussies to earn points. Aussies will have to play seven tests away from home including four against India, three against Pakistan of ongoing series, and two tests against Sri Lanka. Australia can beat Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka but it is quite difficult to beat Pakistan at its home. But I think Australia will be happy with drawing the series. SO, Australia has a big chance of playing the final of the ICC WTC 2021- 2023.

Pakistan has ten tests remaining from which eight they will play at home and 2 tests away from home. Pakistan can win the ongoing series against Australia.  Pakistan will host England for 3 tests and New Zealand for two tests at home. Pakistan will play only two tests away from home against Sri Lanka which Pakistan can be win or draw the series. So, I think Pakistan can win all three series at home and make a strong position at the point table of WTC and can be the second finalist team for the final of ICC WTC. 

India remains four tests at home against Australia which can surely win. But India has to play one test against England and it this so difficult for India to beat England at their home. India can win a series of two test matches against Bangladesh at their home.

There are much more problems for South Africa and New Zealand. New Zealand has only two tests at home. They have only two tests remaining away from home against Pakistan at their home. So it is not easy for them to win a series against Pakistan at their home. South Africa is also in trouble because they have two series away from home against England and Australia.

Who Will be the two finalists for the final of ICC World Test Championship 2021-2023?

After looking at points table condition and reaming series of all teams, I think Pakistan and Australia will be the two finalists for the ICC world Test championship final. Because Pakistan has three home series to make its position strong at point table. While Australia is already at the top position in the WTC points table. Australia still has two home series. So, I think Pakistan and Australia will play the final of ICC World Test 2021-2023. If Pakistan continues to make dead pitches like that of Rawalpindi’s pitch then the situation will be difficult for Pakistan in the upcoming home series. So, the finalist for the world test championship can be different.
