ICC updated points table of WTC 2023 :India has moved to number four at points table

 

After defeating Sri Lanka at home India has got fourth place at points table ICC WTC 2023. Australia and Pakistan are stood at first and second position at the point table of WTC 2023. 

India got a 2-0 victory over Sri Lanka in the home series. India was at number five at the point table before hosting Sri Lanka. This series will arise the Indians hope to play final of the WTC 2023 and pushed Sri Lanka at fifth place in WTC points table. India left only seven test matches to try to make place for the final ICC world tests championship. India has one away from England at their home.

Ongoing series of Pakistan and Australia and next home series of Pakistan will also be the key factor about qualifying of India for the finalist of WTC 2023. The first test of Pakistan and Australia has the draw and the second test looks very much in Australia’s hands. If Pakistan continues to make dead pitches like the pitch of the first test of Rawalpindi Pakistan can be in difficulty. After Australia Pakistan will host England and New Zealand in Pakistan. Pakistan will try to make a good point in these three home series and will try to take its place as the finalist of WTC. There could be some problems in Pakistan if it did not make good pitches. On dead pitches like Rawalpindi, it would be very difficult for Pakistan to sustain its position for two finalists of the test championship 2023. This will make a good chance for India to qualify for the ICC world test champion final.
